As we embark on the first post of the year, I pray that this post receives you well. Martin Luther King Jr says: “THE ULTIMATE MEASURE OF A MAN IS NOT WHERE HE STANDS IN MOMENTS OF COMFORT AND CONVENIENCE, BUT WHERE HE STANDS AT TIMES OF CHALLENGE AND CONTROVERSY.” – 1963
As a radio show producer, it is my social responsibility to not only provide you with the best music that speaks to the consciousness of the people, but also speaks to the issues of our present age. On this day that we celebrate the life of Dr Martin Luther King Jr, My spirit wouldn’t let me rest as i searched for the ways i would pay tribute to him this year. As I rambled through my music collection, all I could think about was JAZZ! and this project had to be…STRAIGHT NO CHASER! Martin was a true revolutionary in this modern age. May his voice continue to resonate in the minds of the people all around the world. Social injustice and affects us all. Don’t just dream of a world, Be about the business of creating a world where every human being is acting in a concerted effort to eliminate the injustices inflicted upon us as a people everyday!
